Snapdragon 680, 2K screen, military resistance and proof that LG does not give up with Android tablets

Last year LG announced the closure of its mobile division and then did not make any mention of tablets, beyond the confirmation of the cancellation of its LG Rollable. LG’s Android tablet division lives on and proof of this is that the company has just launched the new 10.3-inch LG Ultra Tab.

Several years have passed since the last LG G Pad, which together with the closure of the mobile division made us think that it is most likely that we would not see more LG tablets either. We were wrong. The latest LG Ultra Tab is a rugged tablet with Android 12 and a 2K screen.

The best Android tablets for less than 200 euros

This is the new LG Ultra Tab, a tablet that seems to be looking to take on Samsung’s Galaxy Tab A, as a cheap option, with support for styluses and a series of balanced characteristics.

The LG Ultra Tab is a Wi-Fi enabled tablet with Snapdragon 680, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB storage which can be supplemented by a MicroSD card. It has symmetrical edges in all its frames and is somewhat smaller than in previous tablets of the brand.

The leading role is taken by the LCD screen, which has a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels and 10.35-inch diagonal. All this with the usual 60 Hz and the 5-megapixel front camera in one of its frames. The screen is compatible with stylus.

With a flat-edged design, the LG Ultra Tab mounts a single 8-megapixel camera and a 7,040 mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging, although a 16W Quick Charge 3.0 charger is included with it. With four speakers, the LG Ultra Tab has passed the MIL-STD 810G resistance certifications. It launches with Android 12.

Versions and prices of the LG Ultra Tab

The LG Ultra Tab is official in South Korea and we still don’t know if it will be released globally. It is available in a single configuration and color, priced at 426,000 won, which is €385 To the change.
