In May 2002, the body of Deborah Fernández, a 21-year-old girl, appeared in a ditch in the Rías Baixas ten days after his disappearance. The investigative team recalled what happened in a 2019 show that laSexta is rebroadcasting this Friday.
The body had been carefully placed so that it could be easily found and In the place there was a condom partially taken out of its packaging and a 1.40 meter rope.
When more than 20 years had passed since the crime, the case prescribed. The judge dismissed the latest evidence as the family continues to point fingers at the young woman’s ex-boyfriend, the only one investigated.
The investigation team manages to locate the ex-boyfriend, the man under investigation of the summary. Asked about some of the contradictions, or about the path he followed that day, he assures that he has nothing to clarify.
Despite the fact that he claims that when he got home that day there was no one there, his father claimed he was there. Thereupon he is silent. However, he insists that he is the “first interested” in clarifying the truth: “We were always all the family, all the friends… At that time, I was the ex-boyfriend and they took a lot of statements from me.”
On another side, Déborah Fernández’s mother told the investigation team about her daughter’s relationship with her ex-partner and he remembered that a few days before his disappearance, he had a sad attitude.
